우리는 누구인가
학문에는 '할 수 있는 사람'과 '할 수 없는 사람'이 따로 정해져 있지 않습니다. 문화교차학은 특정한 학문적 배경보다 인간의 감정과 그 본성을 이해하고자 하는 질문과 탐구의 의지를 출발점으로 삼습니다.
문화교차학은 감정 그 자체의 본성을 인식하는 감정과학(Science of Feelings)을 학문적 기초로 삼습니다. 그리고 감정 자체의 본성을 향한 타당한 인식으로서의 감정의 자기 이해를 통해 인간과 세계를 탐구합니다.
감정 없이는 그 어떤 문화·예술·심리·사회·치유도 없습니다. 따라서 문화교차학은 인간의 감정이 서로 다른 문화와 사회, 예술과 삶 속에서 어떻게 표현되고 경험되며 관계 맺는지를 탐구합니다.
이러한 문제의식은 퇴계 이황과 Baruch Spinoza를 비롯한 동서양의 사유 전통과 대화하며, 감정과 인간 존재에 대한 탐구를 확장합니다.
국민대학교 일반대학원 문화교차학과는 유교무류(有敎無類)의 학문공동체입니다.

① Declaration
Who We Are
There is no fixed distinction between those who can learn and those who cannot. X-Cultural Studies begins not from a particular academic background, but from questions and the willingness to inquire into human feeling and its nature.
X-Cultural Studies takes the Science of Feelings — the study of the nature of feeling itself — as its academic foundation. It explores humanity and the world through the self-understanding of feeling as a valid understanding directed toward the nature of feeling itself.
Without feeling, there is no culture, art, psychology, society, or healing. X-Cultural Studies therefore examines how human feeling is expressed, experienced, and related across different cultures, societies, arts, and forms of life.
This inquiry engages in dialogue with intellectual traditions across East and West, including Yi Hwang and Baruch Spinoza, extending the study of feeling and human existence.
The Department of X-Cultural Studies at Kookmin University Graduate School is an academic community grounded in education without discrimination (有敎無類). Regardless of field, age, or life path, anyone who seeks to understand human feeling and its nature can begin this discipline.

① 宣言
我们是谁
学习并不预先区分"能学的人"和"不能学的人"。文化交叉学的出发点，不是特定的学术背景，而是理解人的情感及其本性的提问与探究意志。
文化交叉学以认识情感本身之本性的情感科学（Science of Feelings）为学术基础，并通过作为对情感本身之本性的正当认识的“情感的自我理解”，探究人类与世界。
没有情感，就没有文化、艺术、心理、社会与治愈。文化交叉学因此探究人的情感如何在不同文化、社会、艺术与生活形态中被表达、被体验并建立关系。
这一问题意识与退溪李滉、Baruch Spinoza等东西方思想传统展开对话，并由此扩展对情感与人类存在的研究。
国民大学一般大学院文化交叉学系，是以有教无类为基础的学术共同体。无论专业、年龄或人生经历如何，只要希望理解人的情感及其本性，任何人都可以开始这门学问。
