 문화와 문화가 아니라, 나와 세계가 만나는 자리. 원(생명과 사랑의 영원무한)과 사각형(지금의 나)이 교차하는 그 지점에서 문화교차학을 시작합니다.  Not simply where one culture meets another, but where the self encounters the world. We begin X-Cultural Studies at the intersection of the circle—the eternal infinity of life and love and the square—the self here and now.  它并非仅仅始于文化与文化的并置，而始于 自我与世界相遇之处。 在圆——生命与爱的永恒无限与 方形——此时此刻的我相交之处， 我们开始文化交叉学的探究。

출발점은 감정입니다Our starting point is feeling起点是情感

 문화교차학과는 감정을 이성에 딸린 부수적 현상이 아니라 인간을 이해하는 일차적인 층위로 보는 감정과학(Science of Feelings)을 학문적 기초로 삼습니다.  The Department of X-Cultural Studies takes as its academic foundation the Science of Feelings—an inquiry that treats feeling not as a byproduct of reason but as a primary layer through which human beings are understood.  文化交叉学系以情感科学（Science of Feelings）为学术基础—— 它不把情感视为理性的附属现象，而视为理解人的首要层面。 

 스피노자의 정서론과 퇴계의 사단칠정론이 만나는 자리에서, 감정은 인간의 몸과 마음, 문화와 예술, 관계와 사회를 이해하는 출발점이 됩니다. 원의 운동이 파동으로 펼쳐지듯, 하나의 감정에서 세계를 읽는 여러 갈래가 열립니다.  Where Spinoza's theory of the affects meets Toegye's account of the Four Beginnings and Seven Feelings, feeling becomes a point of departure for understanding body and mind, culture and art, relations and society. As circular motion unfolds into a wave, a single feeling opens into many ways of reading the world.  在斯宾诺莎的情动论与退溪的四端七情论相交之处， 情感成为理解身体与心灵、文化与艺术、关系与社会的起点。 正如圆的运动展开为波动，一种情感也向理解世界的多个方向敞开。

 감정은 하나이지만 그것이 표현되고 관계 맺고 문화로 확장되는 방식은 다양합니다. 문화교차학과는 하나의 학문적 기초에서 네 연구영역을 전개합니다.  Feeling is one, yet its forms of expression, relation, and cultural expansion are many. From one academic foundation, four fields of study unfold.  情感虽为一体，但它被表达、形成关系并扩展为文化的方式是多样的。 文化交叉学从同一学术基础展开四个研究领域。

 문화교차학은 하나의 전공 배경만을 전제하지 않습니다. 중요한 것은 선행 지식의 양보다 인간과 감정, 문화와 세계를 새롭게 이해하고자 하는 질문입니다.  X-Cultural Studies does not presuppose a single academic background. What matters is not the amount of prior knowledge but the question that seeks to understand humans, feeling, culture, and the world anew.  文化交叉学并不以单一的专业背景为前提。 比已有知识的多少更重要的，是 重新理解人、情感、文化与世界的问题意识。 

 서로 다른 전공과 경험은 문화교차학 안에서 새로운 연구문제와 관점으로 연결됩니다.  Different disciplines and life experiences can become new research questions and perspectives.  不同的专业与经验，可以在文化交叉学中转化为新的研究问题与视角。
