PROJECT X is the principal research and practice program of the Department of X-Cultural Studies, Graduate School, Kookmin University. X-Cultural Studies takes as its scholarly foundation the ‘Science of Feelings’, which apprehends the nature of feeling itself, and inquires into the human being and the world across different times and spaces, cultures and disciplines. Human feeling is the starting point for understanding culture and art, psychology and society, and healing; centered on the ‘self-understanding of feeling’, which seeks an adequate cognition directed toward the nature of feeling itself, X-Cultural Studies inquires into the essence of human existence and the truth of life.

Culture and art, psychology and society, and healing are not separate domains. They are phenomena in which human feeling is expressed, enters into relation, and expands in various ways. Without feeling there is no culture, art, psychology, society, or healing. On the foundation of the Science of Feelings, X-Cultural Studies explores the crossings and relations among these phenomena and pursues a deeper understanding of human existence and life. PROJECT X realizes this scholarly orientation in two ways: research and practice.

PROJECT X 是国民大学一般研究生院文化交叉学系的代表性研究与实践项目。文化交叉学（X-Cultural Studies）以认识情感自身本性的“感情科学（Science of Feelings）”为学术基础，横跨不同的时间与空间、文化与学科，探究人与世界。人的情感是理解文化与艺术、心理与社会、治愈的出发点；文化交叉学以追求朝向情感自身本性之恰当认识的“情感的自我理解”为中心，探究人之存在的本质与生命的真实。

文化与艺术、心理与社会、治愈并非彼此分离的领域，而是人的情感以多种方式得以表现、建立关系并不断扩展的现象。没有情感，便没有任何文化、艺术、心理、社会与治愈。文化交叉学以感情科学为基础，探究这些现象之间的交叉与关系，追求对人之存在与生命更深的理解。PROJECT X 以研究与实践这两种方式，实现这一学术取向。
