About
SYMPOSIUM X는 문화교차학의 연구성과를 공유하고 학문적 대화를 확장하는 연구·발표 플랫폼입니다.
문화교차학(X-Cultural Studies)은 감정 그 자체의 본성을 인식하는 감정과학(Science of Feelings)을 학문적 기초로 삼아, 감정 자체의 본성을 향한 타당한 인식으로서의 ‘감정의 자기 이해’를 통해 인간과 세계를 탐구합니다. SYMPOSIUM X는 이러한 학문적 지향을 질문과 연구, 발표와 토론의 과정으로 실천합니다.
문화·예술·심리·사회·치유 등 다양한 영역에서 감정을 중심으로 학문적 질문을 발견하고 연구하며, 그 성과를 발표하고 토론합니다. 서로 다른 연구 주제와 관점이 교차하는 과정에서 기존의 지식을 검토하고 새로운 연구 문제와 학문적 가능성을 탐색합니다.

SYMPOSIUM X는 연구성과를 공유하는 데 머무르지 않고, 발표와 토론을 통해 다시 새로운 질문과 연구로 나아갑니다.

SYMPOSIUM X는 문화교차연구소가 발행하는 『문화교차연구』와 『감정과학』의 연구성과를 학술적 대화로 확장하는 정례 연구·발표 프로그램입니다.
매년 6월 30일 발행된 두 학술지의 연구성과는 해당 연도 9월 말–10월 초의 Fall SYMPOSIUM X에서 발표하고 토론하며, 12월 30일 발행된 연구성과는 다음 연도 3월 말–4월 초의 Spring SYMPOSIUM X에서 공유합니다.
이를 통해 학술지에 출판된 연구는 기록으로 머무르지 않고 다시 읽고, 발표하고, 토론하는 과정을 거쳐 새로운 연구 질문으로 이어집니다.

Sharing the Results of Research
About
SYMPOSIUM X is a platform for research and presentation that shares the results of X-Cultural Studies and widens its scholarly dialogue.
X-Cultural Studies takes as its scholarly foundation the Science of Feelings, which apprehends the nature of feeling itself, and inquires into the human being and the world through the ‘self-understanding of feeling’ — an adequate cognition directed toward the nature of feeling itself. SYMPOSIUM X puts this scholarly orientation into practice through questioning and research, presentation and discussion.
Across culture, art, psychology, society, and healing, we find and pursue scholarly questions centered on feeling, and present and discuss what that research yields. Where different subjects and viewpoints cross, existing knowledge is re-examined and new research problems and scholarly possibilities come into view.

From thought to research, from research to presentation, from presentation back into dialogue.
SYMPOSIUM X does not stop at sharing research; through presentation and discussion it moves once more toward new questions and new research.
Research Cycle
From Publication to Dialogue
SYMPOSIUM X is a regular program of research and presentation that extends into scholarly dialogue the work published in the Journal of X-Cultural Studies and the Journal of the Science of Feelings, issued by the Institute for X-Cultural Studies.
Research published in the two journals on June 30 is presented and discussed at the Fall SYMPOSIUM X held from late September to early October of the same year; research published on December 30 is shared at the Spring SYMPOSIUM X of the following year, from late March to early April.
In this way, research published in a journal does not remain a record. It is read again, presented, and discussed, and through that course it leads on to new research questions.

About
SYMPOSIUM X 是分享文化交叉学的研究成果、拓展学术对话的研究与发表平台。
文化交叉学（X-Cultural Studies）以认识情感自身本性的感情科学（Science of Feelings）为学术基础，通过作为朝向情感自身本性之恰当认识的“情感的自我理解”，探究人与世界。SYMPOSIUM X 则以提问与研究、发表与讨论的过程，实践这一学术取向。
在文化、艺术、心理、社会、治愈等多个领域中，以情感为中心发现并研究学术问题，并对其成果加以发表与讨论。在不同研究主题与视角相互交叉的过程中，既有的知识得到重新检视，新的研究问题与学术可能性得以探索。

从思考到研究，从研究到发表，从发表再回到对话。
SYMPOSIUM X 并不止于分享研究成果，而是通过发表与讨论，再度走向新的提问与研究。

SYMPOSIUM X 是将文化交叉研究所发行的《文化交叉研究》与《感情科学》上的研究成果扩展为学术对话的定期研究与发表项目。
每年6月30日发行的两份学术期刊的研究成果，将在当年9月末至10月初的 Fall SYMPOSIUM X 上发表与讨论；12月30日发行的研究成果，则在次年3月末至4月初的 Spring SYMPOSIUM X 上分享。
由此，刊载于学术期刊的研究不再停留为记录，而是经由重读、发表与讨论的过程，通向新的研究提问。
