국민대학교 일반대학원 문화교차학과(X-Cultural Studies)는 감정 그 자체의 본성을 인식하는 감정과학(Science of Feelings)을 학문적 기초로 삼아, 인간의 감정과 감정에 대한 타당한 인식으로서의 감정의 자기 이해를 통해 문화·예술·심리·사회·치유, 그리고 인간과 세계를 탐구합니다.
문화교차학과와 문화교차연구소는 이러한 학문적 지향을 공유합니다. 학과가 교육과 연구를 통해 문화교차학의 질문을 발전시킨다면, 연구소는 연구·출판·학술교류와 연구 네트워크를 통해 그 질문과 성과를 축적하고 확산합니다.
Academic Orientation
감정과학과 감정의 자기 이해
감정을 단순한 주관적 경험으로 환원하지 않고, 감정 자체의 본성과 감정에 대한 타당한 인식의 구조를 탐구합니다. 이러한 인식으로서의 ‘감정의 자기 이해’가 문화교차학의 학문적 출발점입니다.
문화교차학적 탐구
감정 없이는 그 어떤 문화·예술·심리·사회·치유도 없습니다. 문화교차학과는 서로 다른 학문과 문화적 맥락을 교차하여 인간의 감정이 삶과 세계 속에서 어떻게 형성되고 표현되며 경험되는지를 탐구합니다.
연구와 실천의 확장
학문적 탐구는 PROJECT X를 통해 연구와 실천으로 구체화됩니다. ART LAB X는 예술 현장을 관찰·분석하여 큐레이팅과 전시로 확장하고, SYMPOSIUM X는 학문적 질문을 연구·발표·토론으로 발전시킵니다.

Department of X-Cultural Studies

The Department of X-Cultural Studies at Kookmin University Graduate School is grounded in the Science of Feelings, which seeks to understand the nature of feeling itself. It explores culture, art, psychology, society, healing, humanity, and the world through the self-understanding of feeling as a valid understanding directed toward the nature of feeling itself.
The Department and the Institute of X-Cultural Studies share this academic orientation. While the Department develops the questions of X-Cultural Studies through education and research, the Institute accumulates and extends those questions and outcomes through research, publication, scholarly exchange, and research networks.
Academic Orientation
Science of Feelings and Self-Understanding of Feeling
Rather than reducing feeling to subjective experience, X-Cultural Studies investigates the nature of feeling itself and the structure of valid understanding about feeling. The self-understanding of feeling, in this sense, is the academic starting point of X-Cultural Studies.
X-Cultural Inquiry
Culture, art, psychology, society, and healing cannot be separated from feeling. The Department crosses disciplinary and cultural contexts to investigate how human feelings are formed, expressed, and experienced in life and the world.
Extending Research into Practice
Academic inquiry is concretized through research and practice in PROJECT X. ART LAB X extends observation and analysis of artistic sites into curating and exhibition, while SYMPOSIUM X develops academic questions through research, presentation, and discussion.

SEMINAR X connects knowledge and perspectives through dialogue, while Field Trip X expands new questions and X-Cultural perspectives through direct experience.The academic path of X-Cultural Studies begins with feeling and the self-understanding of feeling, crosses culture and art, psychology and society, and healing, and ultimately seeks a more accurate and deeper understanding of humanity and the world. 国民大学一般研究生院
国民大学一般研究生院文化交叉学系（X-Cultural Studies）以认识情感本身之本性的情感科学（Science of Feelings）为学术基础，并通过作为对情感本身之本性的正当认识的“情感的自我理解”，探究文化、艺术、心理、社会、治愈，以及人类与世界。
文化交叉学系与文化交叉研究所共享这一学术取向。学系通过教育与研究发展文化交叉学的问题意识，研究所则通过研究、出版、学术交流与研究网络积累并扩展这些问题与成果。
学术取向
情感科学与“情感的自我理解”
文化交叉学并不把情感简化为主观体验，而是探究情感本身的本性以及关于情感的正当认识结构。作为这种认识的“情感的自我理解”，构成文化交叉学的学术出发点。
文化交叉学的探索
离开情感，文化、艺术、心理、社会与治愈皆无从存在。文化交叉学系通过不同学科与文化脉络的交叉，探究人的情感如何在生活与世界中被形成、表达与体验。
从研究走向实践
学术探索通过 PROJECT X 在研究与实践中得到具体实现。ART LAB X 通过观察与分析艺术现场，将研究扩展至策展与展览；SYMPOSIUM X 则通过研究、发表与讨论发展学术问题。
